Our Original Blend consists of Turkey, Chicken (the bones of each finely ground) Organ Meat, Butter Nut Squash, Carrots, Kale, Green Beans, Oat Meal Broccoli and Parsley. All natural with no added preservatives or fillers.
Many of the people that own dogs are at work a good part of the day. What are our canine friends doing, during these hours? For the most part sleeping or just lying around looking for something to get in to!
Our Original Blend was designed for just that type of activity. Why feed all of the excessive fat and protein if not needed. If you plan on working a dog in competition, hiking or any strenuous activity then you will want to boost the protein and fat levels. You can contact us on how to do that. Studies have shown that a higher percentage of protein does not necessarily mean a better quality food. A food like ours with a lower percentage of better quality protein is much better for your dog than a high percentage of poor quality of protein.
Why did we create our Original Blend the way that we did? We feel that both the proteins that are in the blend have great qualities to offer in a diet.
Below is the ingredients that make up our Original Blend as well as the benefits they have to offer.
Turkey protein is compatible with most every dog and turkey in itself is low in fat and a "cool protein" There are some who believe that turkey can help with "over heating" of the body under working conditions. Lanolin that is naturally produced by turkeys, is also beneficial to coat and skin.
Chicken offers us Omega 6 Fatty Acids. They can help with eye health, coat and skin condition and also none to aid in cancer treatment. Chicken is low in fat and high in protein. The combination of our protein produce a nice moderate amount of protein and fat levels.
Organ meat and ground bone have vitamins and minerals that are essential in a raw diet. You will find Vitamin(s) A, C, B6, B12, Phosphorus, Iron, Folate. These are all part of the building blocks of a healthy life.
